Program Entrance Requirement - For EMEM 102 and EMEM 102L

  • ALLH 101 - Medical Terminology
  • ALLH 100 Intro to Allied Health Professions
  • *Or with instructor permission*

Clinical Requirements

After placement into the program, students must obtain the following:

  • Current AHA Healthcare Provider Certification
  • Pass a physical exam
  • Show proof of current immunizations for the following:
    • TB,
    • MMR x 2,
    • Hepatitis B,
    • Chicken Pox
    • seasonal flu vaccine
    • Tdap
    • Polio
  • Pass a criminal background check
  • Pass a drug screening test
  • Proof of medical insurance
  • Students must be 17 years old by time of EMT Certification exam

Basic EMT classes are offered each Spring and Fall semester.

Practical labs may be on the CSI Twin Falls campus or at arranged off campus cohort sites.

Program Length
EMT Basic 144 hours + clinicals
