Paramedic to RN Bridge Program

The next paramedic transition course will be offered Summer 2010. After that, the paramedic course will offered based up enrollment demand. There must be at least 10 students to run the course.

The CSI Associate Degree Nursing Program is excited to offer the Paramedic Bridge Program. The Paramedic will be required to have completed all general education courses required for the nursing program. They complete the application for the program and if accepted, are enrolled into NURR 100, a one credit online course, and NURR 150, a 4 credit Paramedic Bridge Course with clinical skills lab, and hospital clinicals. After successfully completing these two courses, they enter into the 3rd semester of the nursing program and graduate after the 4th semester is completed.

Paramedics that are interested need to complete the following:

  • Apply to the College of Southern Idaho.
  • Have all official transcripts sent to the records department for a credit audit.
  • Please remember, you must have ALL sciences complete, with a C or better, before entering into the 3rd semester of the RN program. You must have at least one year of high school chemistry with a C or better or completion of college chemistry 101 with a lab. You can take missing courses with the transition course.
  • Have all but three credits of ADN general education classes completed before entering NURR 201
  • Complete the application process for the Paramedic Transition Program.
