Practical Nursing Program Recommended Course Sequence

The individual interested in pursing the Practical Nursing Program at the College of Southern Idaho has two start dates from which to choose:

January (Spring Semester) or August (Fall Semester). Both are 11-month programs. Courses are sequential in both sections and should be planned with an advisor.

PLEASE NOTE FOR YOUR FINANCIAL PLANNING THAT AT THIS TIME NOT ALL SEMESTERS QUALIFY FOR ALL FINANCIAL AID PROGRAMS.

BOTH OPTIONS OFFER THE SAME COURSES AND LEARNING EXPERIENCES. THE DIFFERENCE IS IN THE SEQUENCING AND TIMING OF THE COURSES.

AUGUST (Fall Semester) START: This option of the Practical Nursing Program begins in the fall and concludes the end of July the following year. The student is required to:

1. Complete all requirements of the application process as identified on the Practical Nursing website by February 15.
2. Be accepted for admission to the Practical Nursing Program.

**Starting in Spring 2015, all non-program courses must be completed prior to graduation from the program.

JANUARY (Spring Semester) START: This option of the Practical Nursing Program begins in the Spring and concludes the end of December the same year. The student is required to:

2. Be accepted for admission into the Practical Nursing Program.
