When should I apply to the nursing program?

You may apply when you have 56 points.

What if I have been out of high school for a long time and do not have any classes that will give me points, do I still need to have my high school transcript sent?

Yes. You receive points for high school/GED Transcripts.

How soon will I know if I have been accepted to the program?

You will be notified by mail in April for the February application pool and in September for the August application pool.

Where can I write my letter of intent if I am currently attending another school?

You may have your school's testing center contact the Testing Center at CSI (208-732-6532). The CSI Testing Center can fax the form to your testing center. After you have completed writing the letter of intent, your testing center can fax the completed letter the CSI Testing Center and they send the letter to our department.

Why is the compass testing necessary?

The Compass exams place you in the correct MATH and ENGLISH courses. If you have already taken MATH 143 and ENGLISH 101 or equivalent courses, you are not required to take the compass exams.

Do I have to be a CNA?

NO

If I got my GED do I have to submit my high school transcripts?

Depends.  If you took any classes in high school, before getting your GED that are listed on the score sheet, then Yes… please submit high school transcripts.  Points, points, points.
