Education Incentive Loan Forgiveness Program

The Education Incentive Loan Forgiveness Program encourages graduates of Idaho high schools to pursue teaching or professional nursing careers at an Idaho college or university and to work in Idaho after graduating.

Education Incentive Loan Forgiveness Eligibility:

• Maintain full-time status
• Maintain GPA 3.25 or better
• Pursue a program of study which will qualifies to write the licensure examination approved by the State Board of Nursing of the State of Idaho for the Registered Nursing
• Pursue a career within the State of Idaho as a Registered Nurse for a minimum of two (2) years.  The requirement will commence within one (1) year after the Professional Nursing License is obtained
• Agree to fill out the HSHS department follow-up surveys for two (2) years post graduation process to remain eligible for the program

***Students who accept the Loan Forgiveness Program will have to be tracked for two (2) years post graduation to complete the requirements set by the State of Idaho Legislature***
